PTSD Help: Testimonials
Hi PTSD Wifey,
I just want to say a big Thank you for bringing me some hope and encouragement.
My husband Dave has bumbled his way through the past 20 years since he left the army . He’s an alcoholic, he stumbled through relationships , has himself into debt and so on .
I met him four years ago and I am a depressive myself and recognised certain symptoms then when I learned he was in the army I started to research and PTSD came up all the time . I asked him about it and he said yes he has been diagnosed with PTSD and received the standard therapy all ex service men/ women receive.
In the beginning of our relationship it was hard as I was not used to or prepared for the abuse and hatred and several times I could have walked!!! We are now married and very happy as like you I educated myself and researched everything I could about PTSD.
I recognise the onset of an episode a couple of days before it is in full swing I prepare and my defences and barriers are ready . My own depression has to go on hold … I self manage it and it takes a back seat to dave and my family .
He needs the reassurance I am there , I do find this suffocating but it is part of his PTSD therefore I do it. During an episode he calls me names , swears at me , tells me he does not want me , he’s cold and distant .. then it’s the shut himself away and sleeping …
Once it’s subsides he is normal, the funny , happy very loving man .. slightly manic for a couple of days but happy … I however am drained. I have contacts in the UK for support and organisations that support but I do not have a support system of women like me that are married to these wonderful but totally impossible men !
Someone to say ” hey I’m really low can we chat ”
You have bought me hope …
Did not even know this was out there. We’ve recently been handed the ptsd diagnoses and are learning everyday. I’d love to win a copy, but will also look onto ordering it if not.
Your site as helped so much already. I learn something new daily and have taken tips to help after an attack.

God surely sent you my way. Thank you so much. This article was just the right amount that I could take in to apply. It was also the most helpful information I’ve seen since 1970’s-80’s. I took pictures for reminders and shared article. can’t find on twitter.
Thank you for clearly & plainly describing what I & Others experience. Every word made me able to breathe a bit. Oh I hope you never stop.

PTSD Help: My Story
Did you know that families have faced significant financial hardship. To include: therapy costs, loss of jobs, and more. Not to mention, the cost of private medical care. All of this on top of experiencing PTSD. Does any of this sound familiar?
First of all, my husband was diagnosed with PTSD (actually Complex PTSD) in May 2015. And, it’s been one heck of a journey. Back then, I searched endlessly for resources, information, and any help for non-combat related PTSD survivors but found close to nothing.
Military PTSD Help
However, I did find a ton of information and assistance for those with combat related PTSD, and thanks to these websites I was able to learn a lot about our new life. But, because nothing quite fit what my family was going through.
Another thing I noticed was most PTSD websites are very depressing and negative. And Don’t get me started on the hundreds of medical and scientific sites full of technical jargon.
My Lightbulb Went Off
Because of my experiences, I was motivated to start a website (late January, 2017). One that encompasses every kind of trauma to promote PTSD help to those seeking it.
My goal is to be an inspiration, a positive resource, and a support system for others in our PTSD community. I am very passionate about teaching you what I’ve learned. And hopefully, you won’t make the huge mistakes that we did during the first year and a half after getting our diagnosis.
Needless to say, after a year And a half of severe PTSD episodes, symptoms, heartache, little to no improvement, and isolation, I started losing all hope. Hope of finding answers that my family needed so desperately. I figured, if I’m going through this then there are others out there needing urgent and real PTSD help. As nervous as can be, I took the plunge and created PTSD Wifey.
More specifically, I wanted PTSD Wifey to be entirely different from other PTSD websites and Facebook pages within our elite Post Traumatic Stress Disorder community.
Passionate, Caring, PTSD Help
Above all, I love our PTSD website giving support, enrichment, and most importantly, “REAL LIFE” perspective for those seeking stability, information and remission.
As a wifey and mother, I am a huge part of our family’s PTSD help and support system. My loving husband provides the same level of support for me when my PTSD symptoms take over (I have Vicarious PTSD). Throughout his journey with therapy, psychiatric care, and helping himself by using multiple tools, he has finally sent his symptoms into remission where they belong.
Due to all of his perseverance and hard work, his PTSD has been in remission for ten months! Seriously, could you imagine what a blessing that I’ll be for you?
