Have you been looking for solutions regarding PTSD recovery possibilities? Over the last couple of years I have come across so much information surrounding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD (CPTSD). Additionally, trying and still implementing several self-guided exercises. But sometimes, these coping mechanisms aren’t quite enough. Searching the internet for any and all solutions brings both credible resources and not so credible resources. Because I am very particular about the products and professionals that I promote on PTSDWifey, I only list quality. Quality over quantity is my philosophy when looking for help in achieving PTSD recovery.
As a firm believer in PTSD recovery, I am featuring Mr. Hamish Bayston from Melbourne, Australia. He is a PTSD & Anxiety Master Practitioner at AIM coaching. Mr. Bayston specializes in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). He offers several services but my favorite is the 8 Module Course: Set Free From PTSD, you can finally get the extra level of support you need. Essentially, you will be able to stop the PTSD nightmares and send your symptoms into remission. To put into better words, you won’t suffer from PTSD anymore. And the best part is he can help you no matter where you are located.

For this reason, go to Mr. Haymish’s website and receive a free download of his “Heal Your Past” guided hypnosis video, emailed directly to your fingertips. Then look up his program, “Set Free From PTSD“, which is summarized below. You can access so more information on his website. His approach is very different from what you have most likely experienced. It is not exposure or rewind therapy.
Rewire Your Brain For PTSD Recovery
“Some say your unconscious mind controls up to 80% or your every day life. Not only your breathing and heart beating, but your habits, your thought patterns, your belief systems and your values. The way we react or respond to things, feelings, urges, addictions, anxieties, conflicts and concepts.
The other 20%, the conscious mind, is where we find the things we are aware of, in part, our thoughts, feelings, sensations and memories. It is our ‘awareness’ of these things that bring it to our ‘consciousness’.
This part of the mind has the ability to accept or reject thoughts and ideas.
As much as we like to think we have ‘conscious’ control of these thoughts and our accepting or rejecting of ideas, even this process is largely controlled by the values and belief systems that sit within our unconscious”. – Hamish Bayston
Understanding this with our conscious mind
Mr. Bayston teaches others that understanding this with our conscious mind, will allow us to make ‘informed’ decisions. Decisions on how far we ‘choose’ to unravel the mystery of our own unconsciousness. The unconscious mind has no ability to decide or differentiate. inevitably, it obediently accepts what is turned over to it, whether it’s good, bad, healthy or unhealthy. As our conscious mind is largely intertwined with our unconscious, we often find ourselves in repetitive cycles.
We take an X type idea, it becomes an X type thought and it brings about an X type behavior – a habit. But what if we recognized that X type behavior didn’t serve us well, that it wasn’t good for us? What if we thought of a Y type idea… a positive, more productive idea? We attempt to turn this new Y type idea over to our unconscious, but it conflicts with our X type, well established habits! We look around us and we still see X type results. This can create an uncomfortable feeling and our unconscious mind, either with our without our conscious awareness, will do what it can to bring us back to our known X type patterns (also known as psycho cybernetics).
But what if there was a way to bypass the conscious mind?
What if we could just go directly to the unconscious mind and change the X type processes that are bringing about the unwanted X type results? With NLP, as the name suggests, it is using the language of the brain to reprogram the unconscious quickly and immediately with the new desired thought processes. There are tools and techniques which have been developed and refined over many years with a deep understanding of how the unconscious mind works. These tools can be instrumental in bringing to your life the positive results you have been striving for, but have until now, struggled to achieve their own PTSD recovery.
Set Free From PTSD: 8 Module Course
Module 1 – Getting The Most out of the program
In this module, we are going to set you up for success. We will help you to connect to the reason why you are here and why your decision is so important. Our aim is to help you create a 180 degree turn in your life and to live your life looking forward, rather than backward. To do this, sometimes we need to paint a bigger picture of what it is that ‘forward’ even looks like.
Module 2 – Identity Formation
In this module, we will take you through the theory behind your identity formation, the way you communicate with yourself and the concept of psycho-cybernetics. This module will help you to understand how people end up trapped in negative cycles and why it may feel like the universe is out to get you every time you seem to catch a lucky break.
Module 3 – Collapsing The Table
It is no single event or thought that creates the condition….and as such, there may be several supports that need to be kicked out before the table will collapse. In this module, we will help you to understand a few different concepts which are going to help you recognize the supports, so you can collapse your PTSD table. Concepts such as ‘Cause and Effect’ and how to recognize negative thinking so you can best see when you need to use one of the tools you are going to learn.
Module 4 – Visual Dissociation
Here you will learn an exceptionally powerful tool you can use yourself to release the emotional connection to a memory. We will take you through a basic understanding of how it works, then show you how to do a Visual dissociation on events which may be triggered or difficult memories for you. Not removing the memory, but freeing yourself from the negative effects of the memory and prevent PTSD recovery from happening. This tool alone can collapse many……if not all the supports on your table
Module 5 – Swish Pattern
This tool is another technique you are going to learn which you can use in many situations. The Swish

pattern is a classic NLP tool…….and it will become an part of your tool kit to help you shift phobias and anxiety….. and it will help you increase energy….among many other uses. You will learn the basic understanding of it, and how to use the swish pattern yourself whenever you need it.
Module 6 – Fast Belief Change
Imagine if you could remove negative and limiting beliefs….. and replace them with more empowering beliefs every time they showed up in your thinking? With this process, we will give you the understanding of how the brain represents a belief using what is called sub modalities….the ‘data’ of the Belief……..You will then learn a fast way of creating a belief change that you can do yourself. Hence, embarking on PTSD recovery.
Module 7 – Creating Anchors
Our brain uses anchors in many situations to help us, remind us, and to trigger past thoughts or memories. This can be both positive and negative. For example, the smell of fresh buttered popcorn makes you think of what?……. The movie theatre? Or the sound of a beautiful piece of music a loved one used to play may remind you of them. You can use the brains process of anchoring to your advantage. From this module, you will be able to anchor states of strength, calm, patience or any other resourceful state you would like to be able to call on when needed.
Module 8 – Creating Successful Outcomes
After creating such huge changes in your thinking and your life, you are going to need a few more tools to set you up powerfully for ongoing success. We will look at goal setting and habit building to keep you on track. We will also give you some understanding here of how life may change for you and how to manage your environment around you.People will see the change in you…. Some people will feel SO happy and proud of you……. however, you will sometimes encounter people who don’t understand your new freedom of thinking and your new empowered life. They may feel threatened by this and not know how to be around you anymore, now that you don’t vibrate at the same negative frequency that they do……So in module 8 you will discover how to manage these situations as you move forward loving life.
PTSD Recovery: Psychology 101
If you are anything like my husband and I, we have been through hell and back, and then again. More or less taking thousands of trips in and out of PTSD symptoms. As the spouse of someone with PTSD, you have been affected just as much. The merry-go-round is not fun. In fact, it can damage a person’s self-esteem. Furthermore, it can cause severe issues for the individual facing PTSD and for their marriage. Notably, children are also affected. It is not uncommon for those who live with someone suffering from PTSD or CPTSD to develop a sub-form of the disorder. Coined as “Secondary Trauma” or “Vicarious PTSD”, is the psychological phenomenon counter-transference. Counter-Transference is not a new theory, it was founded by the well-known American Psychologist, Sigmund Freud.
All being said, it was not until the Vietnam War that a greater danger was observed: that patients could, unknowingly, plant lasting images of violence in the minds of people who hadn’t experienced it. In theory, PTSD is contagious. Although unintentional, hearing about trauma and watching the behavior of your loved one may affect you psychologically. More so than you realize. Recall the last full-blown episode your spouse had. What were the heightened emotions that you experienced. Your own mind and body’s reactions to observing a loved one’s PTSD attack is very traumatic. Exposure to on-going trauma can cause you to develop Vicarious PTSD.
Solutions And Real PTSD Recovery
Therapy, Medical Care, Medication, and self-care are all important players in someone’s recovery from PTSD or CPTSD. Proper self-care and therapy is equally important for the loved ones of someone suffering from trauma related disorders. This includes coping skills and grounding techniques which can be learned through therapy. \
Lastly, you have now stumbled upon Mr. Hamish Bayston. I’ll be willing to bet it is during a time when you need it most. I’ve been where you are now. Frustrated and hopeless, thinking you cannot continue living this way. And worse, that there aren’t any solutions. Today, my friend, you found a solution. A resource for you, your marriage, and your family. The best solution combines several positive aids to send PTSD symptoms into remission. Most of all, providing you and your family with real PTSD recovery.
